The one real deployment

One customer, described honestly.

Villabase has one company running on it. Rather than dress that up as a movement, here is exactly what it does there — and what it still does not.

What it replaced

Mykonos Mood is a family villa management and rentals company in Mykonos: managed and sublet villas, guest operations, owner reporting, agent bookings, cleaning and maintenance, utilities, and a P&L that has to survive an owner reading it.

Before Villabase, that ran the way most villa companies run — a reservations spreadsheet, a separate costs workbook, a bank tab, a folder of supplier invoices, and owner statements assembled by hand at the end of a season. The failure mode was never one big mistake. It was a cost entered twice, a payment matched to the wrong booking, and a number in an owner statement that nobody could trace back to its source six weeks later.

What runs on it today

  • Reservations, including agent bookings through Connect
  • Payment doses and bank reconciliation against expected payments
  • Invoice capture from the field, with duplicate detection at entry
  • Per-villa P&L honouring sublet and managed economics

Owner statements generate from the P&L's own numbers, and that code runs — but Mykonos Mood has no external owner in the system yet, so no statement has been checked against a real owner's expectations. It is built and unproven, and we are not going to file it under "battle-tested" until someone outside the company has read one.

Why there is no number on this page

Every competitor in this category leads with a growth multiple — 10x portfolio growth, 642% in twelve months, 42% more revenue. We could compute something similar and it would be true in the narrow sense and useless to you, because a single company's season depends on weather, pricing and luck far more than on its software.

What we will put in writing: the reconciliation that used to take days at season end is now a screen, and the owner statements come from the same numbers as the P&L rather than a parallel workbook. If you want the specifics of how a particular number is computed, ask on the call and you will get the actual formula.

What it does not do there either

The limitations on the platform page are not marketing caution — they are true of the live deployment too. Mykonos Mood still handles OTA calendars outside Villabase, still takes card payments elsewhere, and still files its own taxes.

Villabase is early, and one real deployment is one real deployment. If being an early customer is the wrong risk for you right now, that is a reasonable read and we would rather you reached it here than after signing. Book a demo →
